Jacques Boyvin

Jacques Boyvin (* about 1653 in Paris, † June 30, 1706 in Rouen ) was a French organist and composer.

About Youth and formation is not known. From 1674 he was organist of the cathedral in Rouen and had the position he held until his death.

He created compositions for keyboard instruments, mainly organ works, some of which are specifically tailored to the character played by him instrument of Rouen Cathedral and played partly down to our time.
