Jacques Suzanne

Albert Jacques Suzanne ( born April 17, 1880 in Trouville- sur -Mer; † August 1, 1967 in Lake Placid ) was a French artist and actor.

Life

Jacques Suzanne studied at the art school in Le Havre. Shortly thereafter, he went to Paris at the Académie Colarossi to study further. Here he met his fellow student Emma Isabelle Juliette Duchemin and married on December 3, 1903. A year after his wife died giving birth to their child.

In 1905 Jacques Suzanne traveled through Ellis Iceland to the United States and worked in various professions. Due to a newspaper advertisement in 1908, he joined the Arctic expedition of Robert Edwin Peary.

In the 1930s, he lived with his second wife Anne Moynihan, an Inuk, and the four common children in Lake Placid. Jacques Suzanne worked as a tourist guide and bred huskies for dog sled races, as well as for the film industry.
