Jägerstraße (Vienna U-Bahn)

The station hunter street is an underground station of the Vienna U -Bahn line U6 in Vienna's 20th district Brigittenau. It is located directly under the Leipziger Straße Leipziger Platz and extends between the West and Hunter Street in the east. It is named after the 1858 named Hunter Street, which was named after the patron house built in 1645 Brigittakapelle.

The station is part of the northern extension of the U6 to Floridsdorf and was opened on 4 May 1996. It was built according to the plans of the architects group U -Bahn ( Wood Bauer, Marschalek, Ladstätter, Gantar ) who were already responsible for the design of the other opened in Vienna since 1978 subway lines. The station has a center platform, from both ends of escalators lead ing two buildings that were placed in a restricted traffic, park-like landscaped zone. There are elevators, making a barrier-free access is available at both outputs.

It is possible to switch to the tram 31 ​​in the direction Stammersdorf or bulkheads and ring 33 in the direction of Friedrich- Engels-Platz and on the bus route 5B towards Heiligenstadt or Prater star. In the vicinity is the Technological Arts Museum.
