Jaguarão River

The Río Yaguarón (Portuguese: Rio Jaguarão ) is a river in South America.

It rises in the Cuchilla de las Flores near the Brazilian city of Bagé. From there it flows through Brazil's southernmost state of Rio Grande do Sul to the border with the neighboring country of Uruguay, which he makes from now on its way to its confluence with the Laguna Merín in the field of the Uruguayan department of Cerro Largo. There is also the easternmost point of the state of Uruguay at this point. The approximately 270 -km-long river with a catchment area of about 3000 km ² leads in the final kilometers of its course by the two on the opposite banks located and connected by the Puente Internacional Barón de Maua cities Jaguarão and Rio Branco.
