Jakarta History Museum

The Museum Sejarah Jakarta is an Indonesian Museum in Jakarta.

The museum dedicated to the history of the Jakarta region. The museum is also known under the name of Fatahillah Museum or Batavia Museum. It houses a collection of weapons, furniture, old maps and other relics of the colonial era. The building was built in 1710 as a townhouse of Batavia and officially opened by Governor General Abraham van Riebeeck. The building was the administrative seat of the Dutch East India Company and later the seat of the Dutch colonial government. In 1974, the Historical Museum was opened in this building.
