Jake Eberts

Jake Eberts (* July 10, 1941 in Montreal, Quebec as John David Eberts, † September 6, 2012 ) was a Canadian film producer.

Life

In the course of his career, produced and financed Ebert more than 50 productions that have won a total of 37 Oscars in various categories.

Eberts studied at Harvard Business School and worked first as a chemical engineer, to then become an investment banker. Finally, he turned to the film business.

At the beginning of the 1980s, he first appeared as executive producer in appearance. In the late 1970s he founded the production company Goldcrest Films. Under the roof of films like Gandhi and Chariots of Fire were produced. Eberts was personally successes such as Dances with Wolves (1990 ) and Chicken Run - Hennen race (2000) involved.
