Jake Long

Jake Edward Long ( born May 9, 1985 in Lapeer, Michigan) is an American professional American football player at the position of the offensive tackles. Before he played with the St. Louis Rams in the National Football League ( NFL), he was in the squad of the Miami Dolphins.

Career

Long attended the University of Michigan, along with his later teammates Chad Henne. On 16 June 2004 he suffered smoke inhalation in a fire at his residence. He was the 2008 NFL Draft in the first round committed the first player of the Miami Dolphins for a five-year contract for 57.75 million U.S. dollars, making him the highest-paid offensive tackle in the league. For the Dolphins, he plays along with Chad Henne, with whom he also played in college.
