Jakob Graf zu Eltz

Johann Jakob Graf zu Eltz ( born September 22, 1921 in Klein Heubach, Bavaria, † 10 February 2006 in Eltville, Hesse ) was a German winemaker, Lecturer in Law and wine wine industry. He was the ambassador for the Order of Malta in Germany and was a deputy in the Croatian Parliament. He exercised some honorary positions in a higher position.

Life

Johann Jakob Graf zu Eltz was the younger of two children of Count Karl von Eltz - Kempenich and his wife Sophie, born Princess of Löwenstein -Wertheim -Rosenberg. He grew up in Eltz castle in Croatia. After the Second World War, the family was expropriated by the Communists and expelled from Yugoslavia.

Graf zu Eltz studied law at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and took over after studying the management of the family estate in Eltville and the Burg Eltz. He was Honour and Devotion - Großkreuzbailli, member of the Sovereign Council of the Order of Malta in Rome and then for many years its permanent ambassador in the embassy rank in the federal government. Residences
