Jalaluddin Haqqani

Dschalaluddin Haqqani ( Pashtun جلال الدين حقاني DMG: Ǧalāl ud -Din Haqqani, * 1950) is an Afghan Islamist and the leader of the Haqqani network.

He was in the early 1970s, working in the armed struggle and has close ties to both al - Qaeda as well as to Pakistan's intelligence agency. He was Minister of Justice officially from 1992 to 2001 existing Islamic State of Afghanistan, Haqqani today is supposed to be the second most important figure after Muhammad Omar of the Taliban.
