James B. Harris

James B. Harris ( born August 3, 1928 in New York City ) is an American film producer, director and screenwriter.

Life and career

James B. Harris, born 1928 in New York City, began his career in the film business as a film producer. So he worked at three films with Stanley Kubrick and produced the films The Killing, Paths of Glory and Lolita. His debut as a director, he was in 1965 with the film incident in the Atlantic. In 1973 he wrote his first screenplay, which he filmed under the title Some Call It Loving. In 2006 he was involved as executive producer of The Black Dahlia.
