James Cumming

James Cumming (* October 24, 1777, † November 10, 1861 ) was an English clergyman and college teachers.

He was 43 years Rector in North Runcton and 1815-1860 Professor of Chemistry at Trinity College, Cambridge.

In April and May 1821 he described his galvanometric experiments at the Cambridge Philosophical Society. Since 1816 he was a Fellow of the Royal Society in London.
