James Dunn (Scottish footballer)

James Dunn ( born November 25, 1900 in Glasgow, † August 20, 1963 ) was a Scottish football player.

Life and career

Dunn, nicknamed "ginger " (Eng., Redhead ') was due to his hair color, began his professional career in 1920 at Hibernian Edinburgh, where he remained until 1928. After a good game for the Scottish national football team against England in 1928 he was hired by the English club Everton. With the Toffees in 1932 he won the English league and FA Cup in the same year. After only two one-year guest performances at Exeter City and Runcorn FC he ended his active career in 1937. International Dunn played four times for the Scottish national football team. He made his debut in 1925 against Wales. Dunn's son James Dunn Jr. won in 1949 with the Wolverhampton Wanderers also the English Cup. James Dunn died in 1963 at the age of 62 years.
