James Eckhouse

James Cower Eckhouse ( born February 14, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American actor and director.

Life and career

Since the early 1980s Eckhouse worked as an actor. He started his career with small guest roles in television series and short appearances in movies such as 1983 Trading Places 1988 or cocktail. He became internationally known in 1990 in the role of Jim Walsh on the television series Beverly Hills, 90210, which he played until 1995 in five seasons. After his stint at 90210 he was in numerous television films and series, mostly in guest roles, eg to see in Touched by an Angel (2001), The Agency ( 2002) and Boston Legal ( 2005). In 2012, he took a role in The Avengers.

In several episodes of the series Beverly Hills, 90210 and Once and Again Eckhouse directed.

Eckhouse is married to Sheila Walsh Kiliher since 1982. The couple has two sons, James and John Gabriel Alexander.
