James L. Connaughton

James Laurence Connaughton ( MAY 1961) is a former American government official.

He has served as Chairman of the Executive Office settled in Council on Environmental Quality from 2001 to 2009 the chief environmental adviser to U.S. President George W. Bush. In his proposal, he was unanimously confirmed by the Senate of the United States in June 2001 and then used by the president in his office. With the end of Bush's term in January 2009, Connaughton withdrew from the government; his successor was Nancy Sutley. He moved into management of Constellation Energy Group.
