James Wilson McKay

James Wilson McKay (* 1912; † 25, 1992) was mayor of Edinburgh and Scottish Freemasons.

Life

1969 sparked McKay Herbert Archbold Brechin as Lord Provost of Edinburgh from and held this post until 1972. His successor was Jack Kane. In 1979 he replaced Robert Gordon Wolrige from as Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Scotland and held that post until 1983. 1983 McKay was replaced by JM Marcus Humphrey as Grand Master.
