Jameson Parker

Francis Jameson Parker Jr. ( born November 18, 1947 in Baltimore) is an American serial actor who was best known for the Simon & Simon 1980s series.

Career

Parker studied theater in Beloit, Wisconsin. In 1972 he moved to New York City where he earned money by advertising shots and off-Broadway productions. His film debut was in 1979 in the film adaptation of the novel The Bell Jar. He starred in more movies and television films and had several guest roles in series.

Parker has two sons and two daughters from two previous marriages. Since 1992 he has been married to actress Darleen Carr.

Trivia

As the son of a diplomat, Parker remained at some time in the German town of Bad Godesberg. On October 1, 1992, Parker was shot during a dispute by a neighbor. As a result, he had a long time to struggle with depression.
