Jamesoniella undulifolia

Jamesoniella undulifolia is a moss species of the order Jungermanniales.

Features

The plants grow in grass green lawn. The leaves tend to flank together at the top of the stems, so are einseitswendig. The edge leaves are almost circular. The leaf margin is wavy. In the center of the sheet the cells are 30 to 32 microns in size. The lower leaves are lanceolate. The perianth is stretched oval to pear-shaped and extends far out from the bracts.

Dissemination and locations

The species is widespread in the northern hemisphere in the subozeanischen zones. In Germany it is found only in very few cases, and grows between peat mosses in bogs.
