Jamgon Kongtrul
Jamgon Kongtrul ( ' Jam mgon kong sprul; Chinese: Jiang Gong Gongzhu Ningboche蒋 贡 工 珠 宁波 车) is the title of a major Trülku line of the Karma Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism. The line starts with the famous encyclopedist and co-founder of the Rime movement - Jamgon Kongtrul Lodro Thaye 1.
After the death of the 16th Karmapa Rangjung Dorje Rigpe Jamgon Kongtrul the 3rd Karma Lodro Chokyi Sengge was Shamar Mipham Chokyi next to the 14th Lodro, the 12th Tai Situpa Pema Dönyö Nyinche and 12th Tshurphu Gyeltshab dragpa Tenpe Yarphel one of the " Four regent of the Karma Kagyu ".
