Trinley Thaye Dorje

Thaye Dorje ( Trinley Thaye Dorje (Tibetan: ' phrin read mtha ' yas rdo rje; * 6 May 1983 Lhasa, Tibet) is next to Urgyen Trinley Dorje one of the two officially enthroned 17th Gyalwa Karmapa of the Karma Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism.

Biography

Thaye Dorje was born as Tenzin Khyentse. He is the first son of the third Mipham Rinpoche, an important Nyingma master. His mother, Dechen Wangmo, comes from a noble family, which leads back to the legendary King Ling Gesar.

Officially, he was 14 Künsig Shamar Rinpoche, Mipham Chokyi Lodro, the second highest teacher recognized within the Karma Kagyu tradition, as the reincarnation of the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa, Rangjung Dorje Rigpe, ( 1924-1981 ), and received from him the name of Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje. The Karmapa are considered great yogis of Tibet and among the best known personalities of Buddhism in Tibet. The reincarnation lineage of their tulkus dates back over 900 years and is older than that of the Dalai Lama. The late 16th Karmapa, Rangjung Dorje Rigpe ( 1924-1981 ) was not only one of the most influential Buddhist masters of his time, but also instrumental in spreading the teachings of Tibetan Buddhism in the West.

After the escape from Tibet in 1994 together with his family, he found his new home in India. In the Karmapa International Buddhist Institute in New Delhi he was introduced the same year by Künsig Sharmapa the public. As a result, he went through an intensive training of Buddhist sutras and tantras under many well-known teachers in New Delhi and Shri Diwakar Vihara Buddhist at the Research and Education Institute in Kalimpong, North India. His Llamas are Shamar Mipham Chokyi et al Künzig Lodro, Chobgye Trichen Rinpoche, Khenchen Rinpoche Liiding, Khenchen Trinley Paljor Rinpoche and Pewar Rinpoche Chime Dorje. From masters like Prof. gene Sempa Dorje, Khenpo Rinpoche and the late Topga Chödrak Rinpoche received and he received his philosophical training. His 2003 awarded him the title of Künsig Sharmapa Vidhyadhara which expresses formally the end of his training. The Karmapa Charitable Trust declared him beyond in 2006 officially became the legal heir of the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa.

Today she lives, learns and teaches most of the time back in the Karmapa International Buddhist Institute is headquartered. In the meantime, he makes a lot of traveling and sets the activity of its predecessor in the world. About 800 Buddhist centers and monasteries of the Karma Kagyu lineage in 60 countries, the 17th Karmapa Thaye Dorje regarded as a spiritual leader. This includes the numerically large Diamond Way organization of Lama Ole Nydahl, the centers of Dhagpo Kagyu Mandala, the centers of the Bodhipath organization and many others.
