Jamtsangiin Damdinsüren

Dschamtsangiin Damdinsiiren (Mongolian Жамцангийн Дамдинсүрэн ) (* 1898 in Sain Noyon Khan Aimag in Outer Mongolia, Imperial China, † 1938 in the Mongolian People's Republic) was a Mongolian politician, member of the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party ( MPRP ) and decent head of state Mongolia in the period from January 16, 1927 to January 23, 1929. He is a victim of Stalinist terror.

Life

Damdinsiiren (now Dsawchan Aimag ) born in Sain- Noyon Khan Aimag. As a child he learned the Tibetan language and studied classical Mongolian script. At age 16, he worked as an employee of the local government. In 1923 he was chief of staff of the new county in today's Uliastai.

In 1925 he was elected delegate to the Fourth Congress of the Mongolian Revolutionary Youth League ( MRJL ). At this congress he became a member of the Bureau and head of the Central Committee of the MRJL.

V. On the MPRP party congress he was elected a member of the Great Khural, which in turn elected him a member of the Little Khural.

On the occasion of the VI. Congress early 1927 he was elected again as Chairman of the MRJL and a member of the Central Committee of the MPRP. The Central Committee elected him a member of the Presidium of the MPRP, and he was elected as its Chairman, making him the head of state of the Mongolian People's Republic. He had held this position from January 16 1927 to January 23, 1929.

In 1928 was awarded the VII Congress of the MPRP - " Left period," heralded an aggressive policy to implement Soviet inspirieter transformation of society such as faster collectivization, land dispossession and persecution of the Buddhist church. Under pressure from Soviet advisers were replaced him with the more pliable Chorloogiin Choibalsan, who was appointed chairman of the Little Khural, so the head of state. He was appointed Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Agriculture and Minister for Livestock.

In 1930 they released him during the Eighth Congress of his duties as a member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the MPRP and head of the Propaganda Department of the Secretariat of the Central Committee. During the collectivization campaigns 1930-1931, he returned as a church secretary and director of a collective farm in the Dsawchan Aimag. From 1931 to 1934 he worked in Ulaanbaatar as Secretary General of the cooperatives, but then went back to Dsawchan to direct the Department of the local co-operative production.

From 1934 to 1938 he was the second deputy chief of staff Dsawchan Aimag and Head of the Department of Livestock.

In 1938 he was accused of counter-revolutionary activity during Chorloogiin Choibalsan 's Great Terror ( 1937-1939 ) and executed shortly afterwards. He was rehabilitated in 1959.
