Jan Filip Libicki

January Filip Libicki ( born January 17, 1971 in Poznań ) is a Polish politician and since 2005 member of the Sejm in the V. and VI. Legislature.

He is a son of the PiS MEP Marcin Libicki. In 1996 he finished his studies in History at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan.

From 1994 to 2002 he was the owner and manager of a translation agency. From 1997 to 2005 he worked as assistant to the chairman of the " EDICA " SA From 1999 to 2002 he was an advisor to the Chairman of the State Foundation for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled. He is in a wheelchair.

From 2002 to 2005 he was a town councilor of poses.

In 1989 he joined the Zjednoczenie Chrześcijańsko - Narodowe (Christian- National Association - ZChN ) in 2001 he was a member of Przymierze Prawicy (Alliance of rights - PP ) and then since 2002 the Prawo i Sprawiedliwość ( Law and Justice - PiS).

In the 2005 parliamentary elections, he was elected on the list of PiS for the constituency poses with 17,503 votes in the Sejm. In the early Sejmwahlen 2007 he applied unsuccessfully for re-election. After Zyta Gilowska had returned her parliamentary seat on January 14, 2008 Libicki was subsequently sworn in on January 22 as a deputy. He is deputy chairman of the Polish- Taiwanese Parliamentary Friendship Group and member of the Sejm commissions for social policy and EU affairs.
