January Holenda ( born August 22, 1985 in Prague) is a Czech football player. The striker is currently at FK Rostov under contract.

Club career

Holenda began playing football at Sparta Prague, where he was adopted by the A- youth in the B team in January 2003, which played in the second league. In one and a half years, the striker played 34 second division games in which he scored two goals. In the 2004/05 season he was on loan to the then first division side FK Drnovice, for whom he scored five goals in 25 games.

In summer 2005, he moved again on loan to Slovan Liberec although he trained for ten days at the neighboring club FK Jablonec, and had promised there. In Liberec Holenda came on 31 missions and six goals by the end of 2006.

Was then informed him to look for a new club, following which the attacker was still going at Sparta Prague under contract to České Budějovice. When there SK Dynamo he found not to his top form and scored only one goal in eleven games. In the summer of 2007, he returned to his hometown club Sparta Prague. There he completed only one league game and was loaned to the end of September to FK Siad Most. During the winter break, the striker returned to Sparta Prague.

Holenda changed in January 2010 to the Russian Anzhi Makhachkala Erstligaaufsteiger.

National

January Holenda played with the exception of U17 and U20 for all Czech junior national team. For the Under-21s, he scored in 14 games between 2006 and 2007 a ​​goal.
