Jan-Peter Tewes

Jan- Peter Tewes (born 26 November 1968, Mülheim an der Ruhr ) is a German former hockey player and Olympic champion.

Career

Jan- Peter Tewes played at Uhlenhorst Mülheim and has been with this team seven times German champion. From 1988 to 1996 Tewes won with Mülheim nine consecutive times European Cup of Champions. Until 1990, Jan - Peter's older brother Stefan Tewes was involved in the club successes, who moved to Munich in 1990. Towards the end of his career moved Jan- Peter Tewes also the club and joined the club at the Alster in Hamburg.

Jan Peter Tewes was 1988 Junior European champion and 1989 World Junior Champion. In 1989, he debuted in the German national hockey team, with the field in the European Hockey Championships he won the title in 1991. At the Olympic Games in 1992 Tewes both brothers were present in all seven games and reached with the German team the first Olympic gold medal after twenty years.
