January Schnider ( born January 7, 1983 in Oensingen, Switzerland ) is a Swiss volleyball and beach volleyball player.

Career

Jan Schnider scored his first sporting successes in the hall, as he celebrated in 2003, 2004 and 2005, three Swiss Champion title in a row with SEAT Volley Naefels.

From now on, sat Schnider exclusively to volleyball and played from 2005 to 2007 together with Marcel Gscheidle. After the World Cup 2007 in Gstaad, he joined the partners and formed a duo with Martin Laciga, the younger of the successful Laciga brothers. 2008 Laciga / Schnider qualified for the Olympic Games in Beijing. After less than two years common Jan Schnider and Martin Laciga separated in May 2009. Schnider temporarily played with Andy Sutter and then formed according to the Beach Volleyball World Championships in Stavanger, together with Philip Gabathuler a new national team.
