2011 Beach Volleyball World Championships

The beach volleyball World Cup 2011 was held from June 19 in Rome (Italy ) of 13. The competitions for men and women were held in parallel. It was the eighth official World Cup. For women, the Brazilians Larissa and Juliana defeated in the final of the U.S. duo May-Treanor/Walsh after the latter in the quarterfinals of the defending champions Jennifer Kessy and April Ross ( also USA) had conquered. Organization and media

The World Championship was held to a total of five seats in the Foro Italico. For the spectators the entrance to the first days of the tournament was free, only acquired for the finals had cards.

A total of one million U.S. dollars in prize money was awarded to the participants. The new world champion got them each $ 60,000, who retired as Group Four teams $ 3,400 each. In addition, the winning teams each earned 1000 points for the world rankings.
