Maria Antonelli
Maria Elisa Mendes Ticon Antonelli (born 25 February 1984 in Resende, Brazil) is a Brazilian beach volleyball player.
Career
With Nina Vieira Maria Antonelli finished 2004 ranked fifth in the U21 World Championships in Porto Santo.
Their first tournament of the FIVB World Tour denied the Brazilian 2006 Vanilda Leão in their home country. The following year, Antonelli and Leao achieved in four FIVB Challenger & Satellite events twice the first rank, in each case once they were second and third respectively. 2008, the two South Americans came for the first time at the World Tour finals, they lost in Marseille against Stephanie Pohl and Okka Rau. In Kristiansand Maria Antonelli and Leao Vanilda won their first gold medal at the tour, their final opponents were Nila Ann Hakedal and Ingrid Torlen from the host country.
Talita Antunes 2009, the new partner of Maria Antonelli. After a 13th place in Brasilia, the two won the same at their second joint FIVB tournament in Shanghai. In the most successful year of her career Antonelli won with her partner in addition the gold medals in Seoul, Gstaad and Kristiansand, also reached the final in Osaka, The Hague and Barcelona. At the World Championships in Stavanger, the Brazilians secured the bronze medal after defeating Shelda Bede and Ana Paula Henkel, bronze, there were also at the tournaments in Stare Jabłonki and Åland ..
2010
In the first FIVB tournament of the year in their home country occupied Antonelli and Talita only the 17th Place. In the following seven competitions, the South Americans reached the semi-finals each time. In Shanghai and Rome, they occupied the bronze medal, after two fourth places in Seoul and Moscow succeeded in Norway for the first time this year the finals that against rural women Larissa and Juliana was lost. There was a fifth place in Gstaad. The first gold medal in 2010 Talita Antunes and Maria Antonelli secured in Marseille after having the Austrian sisters Doris and Stefanie Schwaiger defeated. 2011

The first three tournaments of the year were the most successful for the South African duo. While the two Brazilians lost both the finals in the capital city of their home country as well as the final in Shanghai against the Chinese Xue / Zhang Xi, they won the gold medal at the Sanya Open against the current world champions. In the same season, Maria Antonelli and Talita Antunes da Rocha could still secure third place in Klagenfurt. They reached the semi-finals in Moscow and finished fifth in Poland. Each ninth places they occupied in Beijing, Rome and Berlin, and at the Olympic Games in London. At the end of the season, Antonelli and Talita parted.
2013
2013 plays Maria Antonelli on the side of Ágatha Bednarczuk. The new duo reached the final of the Grand Slams in Corrientes and was at three other FIVB tournaments each fifth. At the World Championships in Stare Jabłonki they reached the main round as group winners, where they did against the Chinese Xue Chen / Zhang Xi.
