Madelein Meppelink

Madeleine Meppelink ( born November 29, 1989 in Rhenen ) is a Dutch beach volleyball player.

Career

Meppelink played since 2007 with Margo Wiltens, finishing in fifth place at the Junior World Championships in Modena. In 2009, she reached with Sophie van Gestel in Blackpool again in fifth place at the Junior World Championships. Then came along with Marloes Wesselink Meppelink. The new couple was fifth at the 2010 Grand Slam in Stavanger and arrived at the European Championships in Berlin, the quarter-final against Goller / Ludwig, who again won the title later. At the World Championships 2011 in Rome, Meppelink / Wesselink had to say goodbye after the group stage. Meppelink played in Klagenfurt for the first time with Sophie van Gestel, where they survived the qualification and the group stage and were eliminated only in the main round against the Czechs Kolocová / Sluková. At the Olympic Games in London in 2012 they parted with 0:2 against Larissa / Juliana (BRA ) in the second round, and so occupied the ninth place. In the first tournament of the year 2013, the CEV Satellite in Antalya ( Turkey), van Gestel / Meppelink won in the final 2-0 against Laura Ludwig / Kira Walkenhorst. At the World Championships in Stare Jabłonki van Gestel / Meppelink reached as group winners the main round, where they did against the Russians Ukolowa / Chomjakowa.
