Sara Goller

Sara Goller (now Sara Low) ( born May 21, 1984 in Starnberg ) is a former German beach volleyball player. With her ​​partner, Laura Ludwig, she was twice European Champion and four times German champion.

Career

Goller began in 1992 with TSV Herrsching with the volleyball in the hall and in 1997 for SV other jurisdictions. In 2001 she went to the German Bundesliga Bayer Leverkusen, with whom she was in all three finals in the season 2004/ 05, together with their subsequent Beach partner Laura Ludwig.

As a beach volleyball player Goller has been active since 1999. First she played with changing partners. With Friederike Romberg she won the 2003 U20 European Championships in Salzburg. In the same year she won with Anja Günther fifth place at the German Championship in Timmendorfer beach. On 15 May 2004 she founded with Laura Ludwig, a new duo that gollerplusludwig marketed under the name and as of November 1, 2005 was one of Hertha BSC. Trained by Olaf Kortmann young ladies celebrated the first joint success with the third place at the U23 European Championship 2004 in Brno. The biggest success of her career until then achieved Goller / Ludwig by winning the 2008 European Championship in Hamburg. Shortly before, they had already secured qualification for the Olympic Games in Beijing. There, they were separated in the second round after a three-set defeat against the Austrians Doris and Stefanie Schwaiger from. Goller defended her title as a beach volleyball player of the year. With Laura Ludwig, she won the national title at the German Championship 2008 for the third consecutive time. The year 2009 was the year of third places for the two Hamburg. Private

Goller studied in Hamburg Modern German Literature and Media Studies. Following her beach career, she began training as a volunteer at the television station Sky. In the summer of 2013 she married, and has since been known Sara Low.
