2007 Nestea European Championship Final

The Beach Volleyball European Championship 2007 was held from August 23 to 26 held in Valencia. The competitions for men and women were held in parallel. Organization and media

Organizer of the tournament, which was held by the Spanish Volleyball Federation, was the European Association CEV. A total of 200,000 euros in prize money was awarded to the participants, one half each for men and women. The new European champions were given them each 20,000 euros. In addition, the title was rewarded with 800 points for the European ranking and there were up to 500 points in the rankings for the 2008 Olympic Games.

Mode

For women and men, respectively 24 teams competed. Spain was allowed to host each represent four teams, but came only with two teams per gender. In addition, a total of four wild cards were awarded.

The competition was held in the double - knockout system. Given the number of participants had eight teams in the first round byes.
