European Beach Volleyball Championships

The Beach Volleyball European Championships are organized by the European Association of Volleyball CEV tournaments to determine the champions of women and men.

History

The first men's tournament was held in 1993. A year later the women ermittelteten their first title holder. The tournaments took place in 1994 at separate locations. Since 1995 it will be held together. For women and for men Germany was far with five victories the most successful nation. The last title in the women there were in 2010 for Sara Goller and Laura Ludwig. The Switzerland won yet each a gold and silver medal. 2013 won the Austrians Doris and Stefanie Schwaiger at the European Championships at home. For men, the Dutchman Reinder Nummerdor and Richard Schuil were European champions three times in a row. Switzerland was able to win a total of thirteen medals, including three wins in a row for the brothers Martin and Paul Laciga. The Germans Julius Brink and Jonas Recker man won in 2011 and 2012 twice in a row the title.
