Laura Bruschini

Laura Bruschini ( born August 26, 1966 in Lecco ) is a former Italian volleyball player. She was three times European champion and participated in the Olympic Games.

Career

Bruschini completed her first international tournament in 1994 and 1995 with Caterina de Marinis. Since 1996, they formed a permanent duo with Anna Maria Solazzi, the same took the bronze medal at the European Championships in Pescara. The following year Bruschini / Solazzi won in Riccione with a victory in the final against their compatriots Daniela Gattelli and Lucilla Perrotta first time the title. At the first World Cup in the same year they were ninth. After a third place in 1998 in Rhodes in Rhodes in 1999 they celebrated their second European title ( the final against the French women Prawerman / Rigaux ), which she successfully defended a year later in Getxo with a win against Jana Vollmer and Danja Müsch. The Olympic tournament in 2000 ended for Bruschini / Solazzi in the quarterfinals against the Australian duo Cook / Pottharst. They were also fifth in the World Cup in 2001 after a quarter-final defeat against the Czechs Celbová / Novakova. Two years later, they failed, however, in Rio de Janeiro without set win in the first round. In the 2004 European Bruschini / Solazzi occupied the fifth rank. At the end of the year, separated the duo. Bruschini yet entered the World Championship in 2005 with Diletta Lunardi, however, did not come on the 25th square.
