Jana Vollmer ( born May 5, 1973 Jana Pechovka in Mladá Boleslav, Czechoslovakia) is a former Czechoslovak, Czech and German volleyball national team and German beach volleyball player.
Career Indoor Volleyball
Jana Pechovka began in 1987 with the volleyball at the school and in the club in the Czechoslovak Liberec and was runner-up here in 1989. From 1988 to 1992 she was a player of the Czechoslovak youth and junior national team with 150 inserts. From 1989 to 1994 she played in the Czechoslovak ( Czech 1993 ) women's national team with more than 70 missions, where it reached second place at the European Championships in Italy in 1991 and fifth place at the 1993 European Championships in their own country. Jana Pechovka played from 1991 to 1993 at the Italian Club U.S. Sirio Perugia, with which it was in 1991 Italian Vice-Champion and 1992 Italian Cup winner and Vice European Cup winner. In 1993, she joined the German Bundesliga for TSG Tübingen, where Jana's father was coach at the time. Here she also met her husband Andreas Vollmer (then assistant coach in Tübingen) know. In 1995, she was then with the USC Munster German Vice-Champion. In 1999, she also had six operations in the German national volleyball team.
1995 Jana Vollmer moved on to Switzerland, where they again Kanti Schaffhausen and volley Franches- Montagnes played until 2004 at Kanti Schaffhausen, BTV Luzern, Glaronia Glarus. She was elected twice in that time Swiss runner-up three times and the Swiss volleyball player of the year.
Career beach volleyball
Parallel to indoor volleyball launched Jana Vollmer 1997 her volleyball career. She became German Vice Champion 1998 ( with Ines Pianka ) and 2003 ( with Andrea Ahmann ) and Vice - European Champion 2000 (with Danja Müsch ) and 2003 ( with Andrea Ahmann ).
Knee Problems
Jana Vollmer's volleyball career was interrupted several times because of problems with her knee. In 2005 she finished so after 18 years of her career.
Private
Jana Vollmer lives in Jestetten in the region of the Upper Rhine and Lake Constance near the border with the Canton of Schaffhausen She is married to the volleyball coach Andreas Vollmer and has a daughter Matilda.
