2005 Nestea European Championship Final

The Beach Volleyball European Championship 2005 was held from 25th to 28th of August in Moscow ( Russia). The competitions for men and women were held in parallel. It was the twelfth official EM of women and the thirteenth tournament of men. The Greeks Vasiliki Arvaniti and Vassiliki Karadassiou sat in the women's final against the Dutch duo Rebekka Kadijk and Merel Mooren, while the Germans Stephanie Pohl and Okka Rau won bronze. In the final of the men the Spaniard Pablo Herrera and Raul Mesa Allepuz were successful against the Swiss Patrick Heuscher and Stefan Kobel. The dethroned defending champion Markus Dieckmann and Jonas Recker man triumphed in the German duel for bronze against Christoph Dieckmann and Andreas Scheuer plow.

Mode

For women and men, respectively 24 teams competed. The tournament was played in double- knock -out procedure. The winners received 20,000 euro and 200 points for the world rankings per couple.
