Bram Ronnes

Bram Ronnes ( born November 17, 1978 in Enschede) is a former Dutch beach volleyball player.

Career

Bram Ronnes 2001 played his first Open tournaments with Rodin Merx. In 2002 he first came to Emiel Boersma with without achieving top rankings. At the 2003 European Championships in Alanya and 2004 in Timmendorfer beach he came with Boudewijn Maas respectively on 19th place a year later he left with Jaap Vos at the European Championships in Moscow by two defeat against French opponents out early. Subsequently, he formed another duo with Boersma.

At the World Cup 2007 Ronnes / Boersma translated by a second group against two equal points, Duo and subject for another victory against the Laciga brothers only in the second round of the Russians Barsuk / Kolodinski. Against the same opponents they lost a little later in the third round of the main EM in Valencia; on the losing side they fought almost to the semifinals before they lost to the German duo Klemperer / Koreng. The following year they were beaten twice in the third set in Hamburg. They then took part in Beijing at the Olympic tournament. With a victory against the Germans Brink / Dieckmann they secured as a group of third parties to participate in the playoff game they few hours later against Klemperer / Koreng lost. After the games they ended their partnership. Bram Ronnes occurred in 2009 still with Jorn Huiskamp, but failed in the preliminary round of the World Championships in Stavanger without winning any set.

Private

Bram Ronnes older brother Gijs also played beach volleyball.
