Elodie Li Yuk Lo

Elodie Li Yuk Lo Nioun Chin ( born September 29, 1982 in Port Louis ) is a Mauritian beach volleyball player.

Career

Li Yuk Lo left her home for Canada to study at the University of Toronto. From 2001 to 2006 she played in the volleyball team at the University as a sweeper. In addition to sports, she works in Toronto as a teacher of biology and sport at a secondary school. In 2008, she wanted to make with her friend Marjorie Nadal a beach volleyball duo. Nadal refused the offer, but mediated the contact with the people living in France Natacha Rigobert who just spent their holiday in Mauritius. Thereupon Rigobert and Li Yuk Lo met in France and agreed to compete in the future as a duo in the sand. Your first international appearance they had in the same year at the Kristiansand Open. In 2009 she completed her first Grand Slam in Klagenfurt, playing at the Open tournament in Stare Jabłonki. After a few more tournaments in 2010 she appeared in 2011 at the World Championships in Rome, where they succeeded, however, no set win. 2012, she played five Grand Slams. In the CAVB Continental Cup they qualified for the Olympic Games in London. There, they met in the preliminary round, among other things, the German participants Katrin Holt and Ilka Semmler Wick.
