Jan Stejskal

January Stejskal ( born January 15, 1962 in Brno ) is a former Czech football player and current coach.

Club career

Jan Stejskal played in his youth for Zbrojovka Brno. In 1981 he moved to RH Cheb, there to do his military service. He was handed over to RH Sušice, but returned for the season 1982/83 back to Cheb. There, the keeper came to his first league operations.

1983/84 secured Sparta Prague the services of talent. Stejskal came in his first year with Sparta at 14 and in his second season on 22 missions. Goalkeeper he was from the season 1985 / 86th In 1990, Stejskal in the English Premier League for Queens Park Rangers where he spent four successful years. In 1994 he returned to the Czech Republic and signed with Sparta 's biggest rivals Slavia Prague. In 1998 he moved to Victoria Zizkov, made there but only four games.

National

His international debut was in January Stejskal on 29 May 1986 against Iceland when he came on in the 74th minute for the game Luděk Mikloško. He stood in the gate of Czechoslovakia at the World Championships in 1990. Graduated Stejskal His last game on 25 May 1994 against Lithuania in the second half, he came in to replace Petr Kouba.

Coaching career

In the season 1999/ 00 Stejskal worked as a goalkeeping coach at Slavia Prague. In 2000 he moved to Sparta Prague, where he has since exercised this function. Since 2002 he has goalkeeping and assistant coach even with the Czech national team.
