Jan Trojan Turnovský

January Trojan ( Trajan ) Turnovský ( Trajanus Calcitraha Turnovinus; * 1550 in Turnov, † 1606 in Sepekov ) was a Czech composer.

Turnovský lived since about 1570 as a priest in Sepekov. He composed numerous sacred works, including five Uffizi, the responses and the songs. In addition to Christopher Harant of Polschitz and Weseritz he is considered one of the most important Czech composers of the 16th century.
