Jan Weissenbruch

Jan Weiss break ( born March 18, 1822 in The Hague, † February 15, 1880 ) was a painter from the Netherlands.

Jan Weiss break was a nephew of Johan Hendrik Weiss break. He studied at the Hague Academy of Art 1839-1847. Together with Johan Willem he was among the founders of the artists' circle Pulchri Studio. He painted mainly meticulous city views, including with bridges, canals, etc. His work is less valued than that of his more famous uncle.
