Jan Zaor

January Zaor (also Zaur, Zaorowicz ) was a Polish Baroque architect from Cracow. He lived in the 17th century and worked approximately between the years 1638 and 1676th He was known as the architect of St. Peter and Paul's Church in Vilnius.

Working

He began about 1638 as an architect in Gołąb, where he worked at the Holy House ( domek loretański )

In addition, designed and / or he oversaw the construction of the following buildings:

  • The church in Tarnów ( 1650 )
  • The Royal Chapel in the church of Kazimierz Dolny (1653)
  • Church and Monastery Pažaislis (1672-1674)
  • St. Peter and Paul's Church in Vilnius (1668-1676)
