Jane's Information Group

Jane 's Information Group (also known as Jane's ) is a military, scientific and technical publishing house of the IHS Group. Jane's supplies, among other OSINT -related technical information in the fields of defense, security policy, transport and law enforcement. One of the main competitors in the special areas of expertise include the publisher Defense News, Flight International and Aviation Week.

Overview

Jane's was founded in 1898 by the British Seekriegshistoriker Fred T. Jane. Jane began to sketch ships from enthusiasm, which gradually led to an accumulation of encyclopedic knowledge, and finally the release of All the World 's Fighting Ships. When the company was founded in Jane's, expanded the publisher also in other scientific and military transport specific areas.
