Janjevo

Janjeva (Serbian Јањево / Janjevo ) is a village with about 500 inhabitants in the eastern part of Kosovo. Janjevo located 20 km east of the capital Pristina and belongs to the municipality Lipjan / Lipljan.

History

The first written mention of Pope Benedict XII. dating from 1303, is Janjeva is mentioned as the center of the Catholic community of St. Nicholas.

Population
