Janna is a 15-piece Polish- German children's series from the year 1989. It was directed by Janusz Leski, who also wrote the screenplays. It is a co-production of the Polish television Polish Television with WDR.

Action

The series takes place in the 1920s in a Polish village and follows the adventures of the innkeeper's daughter Janna and two children, gangs, the " wolves " and " eagles ". After a battle between the wolves and the eagles Janna receives a ring from her dying aunt, who tells her that the ring has magical powers. The competition between the child gangs is also reflected in the conflict between the adults: The conservative grandfather Nowak and advanced Jakob Bromski, imports of aircraft and electricity in the village, clashed repeatedly. Janna's mother has a difficult relationship with her ​​father and is very devoted to his will Jacob.
