Janus (musical project)

Janus is a German musical project by Dirk Riegert and Toby Hahn. Your name is the two-faced god Janus in Roman mythology borrowed, which is regarded as rulers of the floodgates.

History

From the outset, Janus consisted of only two musicians - from Dirk ' rig ' Riegert, who cares about the lyrics and vocals, and from Tobias ' Toby ' Hahn, who owned the house night shift studio and for the piano and programming is responsible. Both band members are not full-time musicians. Between 2007 and 2011, we have heard nothing of Janus. There was no announcement of the band's dissolution or that work on the planned re-release of the album Sleeping Dogs were discontinued or continued. Janus announced in May 2013 that work was resumed at Sleeping Dogs deluxe and the album in the fourth quarter of 2013 will be available.

Music style

The music style can be assigned to the New German hardness. This rock-oriented pieces are often replaced by quiet ballads accompanied by acoustic instruments. They are usually supported by guest musicians who often play the instruments for albums, but not officially part of the band.
