Janusz Korwin-Mikke

Janusz Korwin -Mikke, ( born October 27, 1942 in Warsaw) is a Polish politician and political commentator.

Biography

Korwin -Mikke studied mathematics, law, sociology, psychology and philosophy at Warsaw University. During the communist dictatorship, he was first a member of the directed at the middle classes block party Stronnictwo Demokratyczne (SD; " Democratic Party"). Then he founded in 1987 the "Movement for realpolitik " which is a legal party was after the turn as Unia Polityki Realnej (UPR ). He was perceived as an eccentric because of his appearance and characterized by several German media as " Political Clown" or " enfant terrible of Polish politics ." He joined in 2005 from out of the UPR and founded the Platforma Janusz Korwin -Mikke ( PJKM ), which later in Wolność i Praworządność ( WiP, " freedom and the rule of law " ) renamed. In 2011, merged UPR and WiP to the Congress of the New Right, whose chairman Korwin -Mikke is again. He is also a member of the Conservative - Monarchist Club.

Janusz Korwin -Mikke is married and has six children.

Positions

Korwin -Mikke and his parties advocate a "pure" market economy without any government intervention. He is also an opponent of the European Union and wanted instead beiträte the poles of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA ). Korwin -Mikke drew attention to himself by calling for the abolition of women's suffrage, the reintroduction of the death penalty and corporal punishment for minor offenses.
