Nippon Keidanren (Japanese日本 経 団 连), short for Nippon Keizai dantai Rengokai (日本 経 済 団 体 连 合 会, dt " Association of Japanese economic organizations " ), is the most important Japanese business association. He has an important voice in the Japanese government. Otherwise, it is comparable in importance with the Federal Association of German Industry ( BDI).
The Nihon Keidanren emerged in May 2002 from the merger of the Keidanren and the Nikkeiren. It has 1647 members. Among them are 1329 companies ( of which 93 are foreign), 121 industrial associations and 47 employers' organizations (as of 2013).
Since 2010, the Nihon Keidanren is the former CEO of Sumitomo Kagaku, Hiromasa Yonekura, passed.
