Jarkko Ala-Huikku

Tapani Jarkko Ala- Huikku ( born January 31, 1980 in Seinäjoki ) is a Finnish former wrestler. In 2008 he was European champion in Greco-Roman wrestling in the category up to 60 kg.

Career

Ala- Huikkus home club was Ilmajoen Kisailijat, where he was the Father Marko Yli- Hannukselas, Seppo Yli- Hannuksela trained. Since 2002, he wrestled at the Bavarian Bundesliga side SV Siegfried Hallbergmoos - Goldach. There he had with Jani Haapamäki and Kim - Jussi Nurmela two compatriots in the team.

His greatest success as a junior was the third place at the World Championship 2000 in Nantes. In the same year he started for the first time in the seniors. In 2007 he was third European Champion, the following year he celebrated after a final victory in the 2008 European Championships in Tampere on arms Nasarijan probably the most important of his career.

At the Olympic Games in the same year failed Ala- Huikku already in his first fight in the late bronze medalist Ruslan Tumenbajew from Kyrgyzstan and came less than 20 participants only ranked 18th, the Olympic Games 2012 in London presented his last major international tournament dar.   • 2007, 5th place, World Cup in Baku, GR, up to 60 kg, after victories over Christos Gikas, Greece and Song Il - Ho, North Korea and losing to David Bedinadse, Georgia and Eusebiu Diaconu
  • 2008, 1st place European Championships in Tampere, GR, up to 60 kg, after victories over Michal Radnoti, Slovakia, Edward Barsegjan, Poland, Sebastien Hidalgo, France, Håkan Nyblom, Denmark and poor Nasarian
  • 2008 18th Place, OS in Beijing, GR, up to 60 kg, after a defeat against Ruslan Tumenbajew, Kyrgyzstan
