Járnsaxa

Jarnsaxa ( Old Norse Járnsaxa " iron knife" ) is in Norse mythology, a giantesses name that can not be clearly assigned. According to a tradition Jarnsaxa is one of the nine Ägirstöchter the sea goddess Rán who gave birth along with her sisters Heimdall. According to another tradition ( Snorri Sturluson ) Jarnsaxa was another name for Sif, the woman Thor. Jarnsaxa gave birth to Thor 's son Magni.
