Jason Euell

Jason Joseph Euell ( born February 6, 1977 in London ) is a Jamaican - English football player who stands since 2011 at Charlton Athletic under contract. The English-born son of a Jamaican played from 2004 to 2005 for the Jamaica national football team.

Playing career

FC Wimbledon

His playing career started Euell at FC Wimbledon in his hometown of London. 1995 debuted a native of the youth academy of the club Jason Euell with 18 years in the English first division. In the Premier League 1996/97 he reached with his team a good eighth place in the table, came himself but only sporadically used (7 games / 2 goals). After it had already come in the following season to an increase in the use of time, he managed in the Premier League 1998/99 the breakthrough at Wimbledon. In 33 league games he scored ten goals. His club spent most of the season in a relegation battle and got a year later from a third from bottom of the Premier League 1999 /2000. In the 2000 /01 season he succeeded in the second-class First Division his best result for Wimbledon by scoring 19 goals in 36 games. After the missed resurgence, he moved for 4.75 million pounds to Charlton Athletic.

Charlton Athletic

After the change within London he played again in the Premier League. Jason Euell was used regularly and scored in his first two years eleven and ten league goals. Charlton Athletic spent this time in the lower third of the table, however, achieved in the 2003/04 season a good seventh place in the standings. Also, Jason Euell (31 games / 10 goals) could hit double digits again. Over the next two years, reduced its operating times and after an injury he succeeded no return to the root formation. It followed logically the second club exchange for 300,000 pounds for Middlesbrough FC. However, also in Middlesbrough he managed not to return to winning ways. In 17 missions in the Premier League 2006 /07 he managed a single goal. After he took no consideration for coach Gareth Southgate at the start of the new season, let him Boro after only one year free transfer to FC Southampton draw.

Southampton FC

Euell played at his new club for the first time in six years in the second division. He takes back quickly a regular place and scored three goals in 38 league games. Southampton played by a growing year and just barely prevented relegation from the Football League Championship 2007/08. A year later, this was no longer possible and so followed after the penultimate place in the Football League Championship 2008/ 09 the bitter passage into the third-class Football League One. Euell (24 games / 2 goals) then moved to the league rivals FC Blackpool.

Blackpool FC

Blackpool played after decades of drought only since 2007 in the second division. The season in the Football League Championship 2009/10 was very successful for the club. After a sixth place in the regular season, the team rose from Euell (31 games / 4 goals) after play-off victories over Nottingham Forest and Cardiff City in the Premier League on.

Coach Ian Holloway is in the current Premier League 2010/11 so far only sporadically on the now 33 -year-old Jason Euell. The team started surprisingly well into the season and was the relegation places yet keep their distance.

AFC Wimbledon

On January 10, 2012 it was announced that Jason Euell is borrowed for first five weeks to the AFC Wimbledon.
