Jason Moore (director)

Jason Moore ( born October 22, 1970 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, United States ) is an American film director.

Life

Moore graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in performance studies at Northwestern University.

First experience was gained on Broadway as a resident director at the staging of Les Miserables at the Imperial Theatre.

In March 2003, Moore led the musical Avenue Q director, which initially launched in Off-Broadway Vineyard Theatre from July 2003 and moved to Broadway in the John Golden Theatre. At the Tony Awards 2004 Moore was nominated for Avenue Q in the category of Best Musical Director, subject to there but Joe Mantello ( Assassins for ). Moore also led the directed productions of the play in Las Vegas and London.

He then took over the government in the Broadway revival of Steel Magnolias (2005) and Shrek the Musical (2008).

After various TV productions Moore led in 2012 in the musical comedy Pitch Perfect first time directing a feature film.
