Geography
Which belongs to the metropolitan area of Bloomington City Jason Ville is located in the northeast of Greene County, on the border of Clay County to the north and to the Sullivan County in the west, about five kilometers southeast of Shakamak State Parks and Lake Kickapoo and approximately 115 kilometers southwest of the capital of Indianapolis.
The area of the city covers an area of 3.39 square kilometers. Water areas are not available.

History
The former mining town in 1914 by a large fire almost completely destroyed.

Today, 2,222 people in 882 households, 98.1 percent White, 0.2% African American, 0.1 % Native American, 0.4 % Asian and 1.2 % from other ethnic groups live. 26.7 percent of the population are younger than 18, 31.8% were aged 18-44, 24.5% between 45 and 64, 17.1% were 64 years or older. 47.4 percent of the population were male and 52.6 % female. Traffic
East of the town center to the east, running from west to Indiana State Road 48 intersect (Fairbanks - Worthington) and extending in a north-south direction Indiana State Road 59 ( Waveland - Sandborn ).
Northeast of downtown lies the privately run Shakamak Airport, an airport with two grass - start and runways (530 x 12 meters and 700 x 23 meters).

In Jasonville, there are three schools that Shakamak Elementary School, the Shakamak Junior High School and the Blessed Hope Baptist School.
